AEG Power Solutions has signed a contract with Surana
Ventures to provide balance of electrical systems for a 5-mw
solar power plant in Gujarat.
Since March, AEG has won a series of such contracts
aggregating 25 mw of solar power capacity spread over India.
Apart from Surana, AEG has won similar orders for a 10-mw
installation from NKG Infra in Gujarat and four projects
aggregating 10.1 mw in other states of India. All the orders are
likely to be completed by the last quarter of 2011.
Gujarat has launched a program of long term power purchase with
agreements with 80 solar power project investors to commission
almost 1,000 mw of generation capacity by the end of 2013. This
year, 400-600 mw could be installed, a release by AEG said.
Meanwhile, AEG Power Solutions intends to deploy its new
inverter "Protect PV .500" for the Surana and NKG Infra projects
in Gujarat.
