Cable Corporation of India sees its
association with India's first-ever
Formula One race track project as
a big booster of confidence. CCI was
responsible for supply of a 230kV cable
system for this landmark project.
Speaking on the achievement, Hiten
Khatau, CMD, Cable Corporation of
India, noted, "This is a very prestigious
project for CCI. We are proud of the fact
that we have been chosen over tough
international and domestic
competition. We have been chosen on
account of our quality and this order will
definitely boost the confidence our
customers have in us."
CCI had clinched the prominent
order from Noida-based Jaypee Sports
International (JPSI) over global and
domestic competition. JPSI has built
the 5.14-km track located in Gautam
Buddh Nagar on the outskirts of
Greater Noida, 35 km from Delhi. The
total turnkey contract envisaged
supply of approximately 8 km of 1x800
sqmm aluminum conductor XLPE
Insulated cable, straight-through
joints, outdoor termination kits along
with allied material.
This circuit provides uninterrupted
supply of power to the GIS Station and is
the heart of the whole power system
since every facility will be dependent on
this source of power. Key accessories
were imported from Germany.
