Areva T&D India's transmission business
has won a
200-crore order from Power
Grid Corporation of India Ltd for the
supply, erection and commissioning of a
765kV EHV substation, including
transformers, at Bareily in Uttar Pradesh.
The 765kV transformers for this
substation will be delivered from Areva T&D
India's Vadodara factory in Gujarat. Other
products for these transformers will be
delivered from Areva T&D India's facilities at
Padappai (Chennai), Pallavaram (Chennai),
Hosur (Tamil Nadu) and Noida. According to
a statement released by the company, Areva
T&D India has won 16 out of the 39 orders for
765kV substations in the country.
With effect from June 2010, the highvoltage
transmission and power electronics
of Areva T&D are being carried out under
the control of Alstom Grid.
