Em News Bureau ,  Friday, September 28, 2012, 16:44 Hrs  [IST]

Promptec, a player in LED and solar lighting, recently completed the installation of LED lighting for Kisan Mouldings Ltd, a manufacturer of PVC pipes. The lighting system comprising 210 sets of 2x28w LED lights and 12 units of 80w was installed at Kisan's new factory at Kora in Tumkur district, Karnataka.

A release by Promptec noted that Kisan could cut its annual electricity consumption by 1,33,799 kWh saving Rs.10 lakh on electricity bills. Promptec's 28W, 80W LEDs are specially designed for industrial lighting with maximum lumens, minimum power consumption and low maintenance cost. Promptec LED lights are designed at their own fullfledged Research and Development (R&D) center in Bangalore. These energy efficient LED lights of 56W and 80W replace 134W and 200W conventional lights respectively.

Well-designed LEDs are expected to last for 50,000 to 1,00,000 burning hours and coupling these LEDs with smart controls can extend its life span even further; unlike conventional lights which have to be replaced once every 18 months for continuous 24 hours usage.
