A new 220kV double circuit transmission line with a route length of 15 km is being constructed Burdwan district (from Mangalpur to J K Nagar Substation) which will in turn be connected with state as well as the National Grid by single circuit Loop-in Loop-out (LILO) arrangement of the existing 220kV Double Circuit Transmission Line of WBSETCL between Santaldih Thermal Power Station and the Durgapur 220/132/33kV substation.

The upcoming transmission network along with sub distribution system will be capable to deliver around 250 MVA of power from grid and additional power from other sources.
