Microchip Technology Inc has
announced its first
scholarship awards
programme in India to recognize
budding talent in embedded systems
design and electronic engineering and
provide upcoming talent the
opportunity to work on the latest
technology in embedded architecture
and awarded 22 students from
various colleges. In the first year,
students from IIT Chennai, IIT
Delhi, NIT Kurukshetra, PES College
(Bangalore), Manipal Institute of
Technology (Karnataka), SDM
Institute of Technology (Ujire), Nam
Chand College of Engineering,
Panipat, Haryana and K. J. Somaiya
College of Engineering (Mumbai)
have been chosen for scholarships.
The students have worked on
innovative projects using the
Microchip PICĀ® MCUs such as
microcontroller controlled
wheelchair for physically impaired,
RFID card reader for multiple end
applications, GPS System for student
'Formula 1' car race, etc.
