Sterlite Technologies has
received two mega contracts
from Power Grid Corporation of
India for manufacture and supply of
power conductors.
The first contract is for Sterlite
power conductors that would be used
in the 765kV double circuit Champa-
Raipur Pooling Station transmission
line in Chhattisgarh. This is one of
India's first 765KV double circuit
transmission systems being
developed by a public sector
company, designed for high voltage
power transmission. The second
contract is for power conductors to be
used in the 400kV Kishnganj-Patna
Line. This transmission system is
intended to evacuate power from
hydroelectric generation projects in
Sikkim, to the Northern and Western
regions of India.
These contracts valued at about

225 crore are part of a total bank of
new orders valued at about

450 crore
that Sterlite has received since July
this year.
