Alstom Projects India Ltd has announced its name change to Alstom India Ltd. The name change reflects the continuous evolution and growth in the business horizons of the company. The company's operations have now gone beyond being a "projects" company. “Today, Alstom in India has full capabilities in engineering, manufacturing, project management and supply of power generation and transport sector requirements," an official release noted.

"The name change reinforces AIL as an integrated enterprise, with a longterm strategy to advance its presence and more closely aligns and strengthens the identity of each of its core areas in which it operates," Sunand Sharma, Chairman, Alstom India Ltd observed in a company statement.
