Voith Group of Companies
recently celebrated the 25th
anniversary of its production site
in Hyderabad. Set up in 1987, the
production site of Voith in Hyderabad
has its own modern foundry,
manufacturing and testing facilities.
Voith in Hyderabad has been producing
hydrodynamic couplings for material
handling systems in power stations and
mines. Recently, the company started
production of servomotors,
hydrodynamic retarders and
components of Scharfenberg couplers
for domestic as well as export market.
Voith regards India as one of the
promising growth regions and
important markets on the globe. The
company has been present here since
1911 and is represented through its
markets energy, oil & gas, paper, raw
materials and transport & automotive.
Voith technologies are used in key
points along value-added chains that
could be unable to function without
Voith plants, systems, components or
maintenance services. Today, Voith
couplings regulate pumps or fans in
more than 90 percent of Indian thermal
power plants for instance. Other recent
milestones of significance are projects
such as metro rail projects in New Delhi,
Bangalore and Jaipur or the
commissioning of Voith banknote paper
machines which will altogether be able
to meet the current demand for
banknotes in India.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hubert
Lienhard, Voith President & CEO, said,
"Voith in India is a long-standing, rich
and successful partnership. We will
make sure that this success continues
for many years to come. We are proud of
being part of this rising nation. We are
committed to further contributing to
the country's sustainable, economic and
social development through our
presence here."
