Jyoti Ltd has secured an order worth Rs.13.7 crore from NCC Power
Projects Ltd for supply, installation and commissioning of four
concrete volute type pumps with discharge capacity of 40,000 cum per
hour each, and associated motors for cooling water system for a 2x660-
mw coal-based super thermal power project coming up at Muthukur
Mandal, Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh.
Jyoti will execute this order in collaboration with
the Italian engineered pumps manufacturer
Termomeccanica Pompe. For sea water
application, concrete volute pumps is the most
preferred solution in terms of price and longevity of
the pumps, Jyoti said in a statement.
The collaboration between the two companies covers the entire scope
of the supply which includes design, engineering, model testing of
pumps, prototype manufacturing, supply, erection, testing and
commissioning. The pumps are to be designed for sea water application
and material of construction is super duplex stainless steel.
With this order for concrete volute pumps, Jyoti Termomeccanica
Pompe will be favourably placed for major super and ultra supercritical
thermal power projects coming up in India, having already established
credentials for design and supply of high-end metallic volute pumps, the
company noted. |
