
Shriram EPC Ltd SEPC has been
awarded an order worth

640
crore from Abhijeet Projects Ltd
for constructing a 50-mw solar
thermal power plant in Jaisalmer
district of Rajasthan. This marks the
entry of Shriram EPC in the solar
power vertical.
The project, won under the
Centre's Jawaharlal Nehru National
Solar Mission is owned by Abhijeet
Group company Corporate Ispat
Alloys Ltd. CIAL has also entered into
a technology agreement with Ener-T
International Ltd, Israel for providing
the solar technology to this project.
SEPC will execute the EPC work in
partnership with Israel-based ENERT
International Ltd, a technology and
engineering provider for solar
thermal projects.
The scope of work includes the
design, engineering, procurement,
supply, erection, testing &
commissioning for the entire project.
In addition, the project entails setting
up of a raw water storage system
which includes a facility for pretreatment
of water and storage
capacity for 60 days consumption.
The project is scheduled for
completion in 20 months.

in wind power, biomass power as
