Aggreko, a global player in
temporary power and
temperature control services,
has announced the opening of its
second depot in India. Located in
Manesar, 40 km south west of New
Delhi, the new facility will enable
Aggreko to meet the demands for
rental power and temperature
control in India's northern, central
and eastern states.
The new depot will primarily serve
the oil and gas and manufacturing
sectors around New Delhi, yet will
also bring Aggreko's turnkey rental
packages to the mining, construction
and events industries. A key benefit
of such packages is in helping
companies deal with power outages
and load shedding, guaranteeing
power supplies and reducing the risks
and financial losses associated with
operating in areas with unreliable
power infrastructure. Customers will
be able to benefit from Aggreko's
worldwide experience in the rapid
provision of temporary power and
temperature control solutions that
enable mission critical business
processes to remain up and running
when grid power is unavailable,
when supply from the grid is
inconsistent, or in the event of plant
equipment breaks down.
“The Indian market is an
important focus for Aggreko. This
can be demonstrated by our
significant investment in the country
since we opened our first depot in
Wagholi, near Pune, in 2009,”
commented Debajit Das, Managing
Director, Aggreko Asia, in a
statement. “The opening of our
second depot gives us immense
opportunity to further support local
industry and to help drive economic
growth in a region where power
outages are common,” he added.
