recently inaugurated the
Lapp Centre of
Excellence established at
the R.V. College of
Engineering in
Bangalore. Enhancing
academia-industry
interaction, this Centre
is aimed at improving
both quality of teaching
and imparting practical skills to
students in the critical areas of cables,
cable accessories and systems.
The Lapp Centre of Excellence
consists of a laboratory facility with
end-to-end cable research and
testing requirements, thus giving
scope for students to develop
sustainable and inclusive cabling
technology solutions. Further, this
equipped Centre also caters to the
teaching faculty by providing them
necessary knowledge, both
theoretical and practical, that can
be acquired additionally, on the
crucial cable segment. RV College of
Engineering is the second in the
country to introduce 'cables' as a
core subject of the curriculum, after
PSG College of Engineering in
Coimbatore that also houses Lapp
India's first Centre of Excellence.
