L&T bags order for 400kV line in TN

The Power Transmission &
Distribution IC of Larsen &
Toubro has won domestic orders
worth Rs.701 crore from state and
Central utilities.
Tamil Nadu Electricity Board has
place an order for construction of a
148-km, 400kV DC (Quad)
transmission line from Pugalur to
Pandiankuppam in Tamil Nadu. The
project will be completed in 18
months. The company has bagged
two additional orders for
construction of substations at
Malaysendra from Karnataka Power
Transmission Corporation and at
Jind, Haryana from Power Grid
Corporation of India.
Besides, the engineering firm has
won international orders worth
Rs.194 crore that include a 220/33kV
substation and various orders for
ongoing projects at UAE.
