Emerson Climate Technologies (India) Ltd., a business of Emerson
Climate Technologies, announced that it has introduced scroll
technology in the residential air-conditioning market in India.
Copeland ScrollTM compressors have proven to be an essential
element in improving the energy efficiency and reliability of airconditioning
systems. Today, Emerson is designing India-specific
Copeland Scroll compressors down to
2-ton capacity for split air-conditioning
units. These compressors are now
being utilized in the production of air
conditioners built by some of the major
original equipment manufacturers
(OEMs) in India, such as Blue Star,
Carrier, Hitachi, and LG. It is the first
time that this technology has been
made available for the home and small
office markets, giving Indian users
access to a world-class compressor
that not only saves energy, but also
provides enhanced comfort and value by virtue of its low noise output
and compact design.
With Copeland Scroll products, Emerson Climate Technologies is
supporting the industry through the transition to more energy-efficient
air-conditioning systems, as well as environmentally friendly
refrigerants such as R410A. In order to fulfill its contribution to
Montreal protocol, India will reduce the usage of non-ozone friendly
refrigerants, and Copeland Scroll compressors designed for R410A
will be made available in the India market later this year, a release by
Emerson said. Emerson is committed to developing products for a
range of environmentally friendly refrigerants and produces the
broadest line of R410A-compatible scrolls in the world.
