The Indian Electrical &
Electronics Manufacturers'
Association (IEEMA) has
announced the appointment of
Vishal Gakhar as its Director
General.
An MBA in Marketing, Gakhar
has varied experience of over 17
years, a release by IEEMA noted.
Prior to his new appointment, he
was working with Confederation of
Indian Industry (CII) and was
responsible for heading the special
initiatives and policy department in
Western Region apart from
handling sectors such as logistics,
healthcare, infrastructure and
verticals including sustainability,
green business, climate change and
family business.
He has facilitated various policy
matters with Central & State
governments and has facilitated
trade and business across various
industrial sectors. He has facilitated
various industry institute dialogues
leading to many fruitful initiatives
and projects in the area of skill
development, employability, CSR,
Research & Development.
