Tecpro Systems enters into agreement with Mitsubishi

EM News Bureau ,  Monday, June 17, 2013, 17:44 Hrs  [IST]

Mitsubishi-ESPTecpro Systems Ltd has announced that it recently entered into a license agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Mechatronics Systems Ltd (MHI-MS) to collaborate exclusively for manufacturing electrostatic precipitators for the Indian market. Based in Kobe, Japan, MHI-MS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, is engaged in environmental engineering.

Through this agreement, Tecpro Systems and MHI-MS have agreed to work together for manufacturing of ESP for the Indian markets. MHI-MS shall provide technical support including design & drawings, material procurement, manufacturing procedures, quality control, engineering expertise and training to Tecpro Systems. The ESP will be branded as manufactured by Tecpro Systems under technical collaboration with MHI-MS.

ESP is a product which is mandatory in a thermal power plant to control dust emissions and is an important part for environmental protection measures undertaken by all process industries like steel, power, cement, paper, fertiliser etc. In view of stringent pollution control norms, we are optimistic that there will be a huge demand for ESP in India as there is an increased focus on environmental preservation.

Meanwhile, Tecpro Systems received orders worth around Rs.2,550 crore in FY13 as against Rs.2,150 crore in FY12. The company also recently commissioned its first balance of plant for a 1x500-mw thermal power plant for Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Ltd.
