CTC Marine on site in Mexico

CTC Marine has completed load-out of 8 submarine power cables at the Prysmian factory in Naples Italy and is now on site in the Bay of Campeche for the Ku-Maloob-Zaap Field Development Project, Gulf of Mexico. CTC is utilizing the Northern River equipped with CTC's CMROV 3, WROV and lay spread, including cable baskets. The spread was successfully mobilized at Tees Port UK, in early March.

The work scope, for client Demar Instaladora Y Constructora S.A. DE C.V, involves the load out and transit of the eight power cables, followed by cable lay, trenching and survey of the power cables, 30.8km total length, in water depths of 70-90m.

The 111 day project is expected to commence infield by April 2011 and represents the first installation and trenching project for CTC in the Gulf of Mexico.
