5-star energy rating from Bureau of
Energy Efficiency.
The comprehensive product-line of
split air conditioners that Trane
offers, from 0.95 to 2.2 tons,
conforms to BEE norms for providing
effective, clean and comfortable
cooling standards at the lowest
power consumption levels, thereby
reducing the load on the grid.
The star rating is a system initiated
by BEE, India, to determine the
energy efficiency of electronic
products for residential applications
such as window and split air
conditioners. Products are rated on a
scale of 1-5 'stars' depending on their
energy efficiency; the higher the
efficiency, the more stars are
awarded. The Trane range of
residential and light commercial air
conditioners is sold exclusively
through its appointed distributors.
