
KEC International has won
new orders to the tune of

550 crore from India and
Brazil. The Indian order is a
turnkey contract for construction
of 400kV transmission lines
between Babhaleshwar to
Aurangabad and Bhusawal to
Aurangabad. The

367-crore order,
placed by Maharashtra State
Electricity Transmission Company Ltd, is
scheduled for completion in 18 months.
SAE Towers, a wholly owned subsidiary of
KEC International, has secured orders of

183
crore for supply of towers in Brazil.
The order has been received from the
client Norte Do Brasil Transmissora
De Energia S.A., Brazil.
"The acquisition of SAE Towers'
has been very good for us and has
happened at the right time. We are
witnessing a huge demand for
transmission towers in the
American markets. KEC and SAE
Towers have secured orders worth

1,350
crore for tower supply post acquisition,"

KEC recently diversified into the
water-related business,
securing its first order in
Madhya Pradesh. Placed by
state government-owned Water
Resource Department, the  31-
crore order relates to
renovation, repair and
remodeling of Canal under
Urmil Tank Project in Chattrapur
district of Madhya Pradesh. The
order will be executed over a
period of 18 months. |
