HCL Infosystems has been appointed as the IT
implementation agency by Jharkhand State Electricity
Board for the R-APDRP (Part A) project. HCL's scope under
the
138-crore contract will cover 30 towns covering 66 subdivision
offices and 354 other offices of JSEB.
The project will help JSEB to establish an integrated IT
solution for CRM, metering reading, billing collection,
energy auditing, etc. As part of the project, a data centre, a
disaster recovery centre and customer care centres will be
set up at specified locations. Wipro, it is learnt, is involved
in the project as the IT-Consultant.For HCL Infosystems,
this is the third order as IT-IA, after a
500-crore order in
Rajasthan in 2009, and
100-crore mandate in Himachal .
