DelSolar USA, a subsidiary of DelSolar Co Ltd, has
completed a 1-mw solar photovoltaic project for
U.S. Foodservice Inc in Livermore, CA. This is the
first of a series of similar projects for the national food
distribution company.
The solar system installed at U.S. Foodservice's San
Francisco Distribution Center deployed 4,354 pieces of
DelSolar's D6P230A3E multi-crystalline 230Wp PV module.
It included a 759kW rooftop section and a 241kW carport,
which will together generate approximately 1,380,227 kWh
per year, equivalent to an annual energy consumption of
about 194 homes in California. The second PV project is
expected to take place at a different site later this year.
The project was partially funded thru the California Solar
Initiative (CSI) incentive program. The Livermore project
created over 70 jobs in construction and installation related
services, helping to foster the recovery of local economy.
