Surya Roshni, a leading player in the
lighting industry, has announced the
setting up of a laboratory and research
centre, specifically aimed at boosting LED
lighting systems in the country. The
Centre—Surya Technology & Innovation
Centre (STIC)—will be equipped with the
most advanced photometric laboratory and
houses and high speed automatic
goniophotometer from LMT, Germany, the
company said in a release. The equipment,
installed at the Centre for light measurement
and optical evaluation for both conventional
lighting systems as well as form LED-based
lighting solutions, will act as a catalyst for
the growth of LED lighting in the country, the
company said.
