ABB has secured an order worth approximately $15m from Power Grid Corporation of India to supply ultra-high voltage transformers. The company will supply, erect and commission 500 MVA, 765kV auto transformers for the Jabalpur pooling substation in Madhya Pradesh. The substation will receive electricity from the eastern Indian state of Orissa and distribute it within Madhya Pradesh. Commissioning of the transformers is scheduled for the middle of 2013 and the transformers will be manufactured at ABB's Vadodara facility in the state of Gujarat.
