German machine making
company GEORG has launched
the TBA400 ECO-Line, an
advanced transformer lamination
cutting machine with swing shear for
cutting transformer sheet metal up to a
width of 1,250mm.
A statement by GEORG said that in
Asia, Africa, and South and Central
America there is an increasing need for a
comprehensive energy supply.
Countries like India are rapidly
expanding the capacity of their
electrical networks. For this, economic
and advanced transformer lamination
cutting machines (TBA machines) are
needed that can manufacture step-lap
transformer cores.
The TBA 400 ECO-Line, which is
now available, has been specially
designed for the growing demand for
high quality and economic machines in
India, China, Africa and South America.
Furthermore, it offers high speed and
simple operation. The strengths of this
intelligent solution are naturally on the
same high level as all GEORG
machines," a company release observed.
The new GEORG machine is
equipped with a two-head decoiler, a
hole punching machine and a V notch.
Furthermore, it has two fixed shears and
choice of two stacking systems for easy
stacking (RS/T or HS/T). With the TBA
400 ECO-Line, electrical steel can be cut
with a strip width from 40 to 440 mm.
Its precision and simplicity are also
persuasive. In addition to transformer
strip cutting machines, slitting lines
(TKS) for slitting grain-oriented and
non-grain-oriented electric steel,
reactor core metal cutting machines
(TRKA) for manufacturing torodial
reactor cores, wound core machines
(SWA), cutting machines for
amorphous material (AMC), core feed
tables and core stacking & assembly
tables (KLT/KMT), distribution
transformer tanks and radiator
manufacturing machines (RAD) are
also included in the portfolio of
GEORG's trafo business unit.
The fully automatic machine with
eccentric shear reaches a high belt speed
of 120 m/min and achieves a yearly
tonnage of up to 15,000 tonnes.
