Mahindra Powerol, part of
Mahindra & Mahindra
Group, has announced
the launch of Intelli series of UPS
products packed with advanced
features for use in home and
small offices.
Engaged in the manufacture and
supply of diesel gensets for various
applications, including for telecom
towers, Mahindra Powerol had
entered into manufacture and sales
of UPS systems in early 2010. The
company is looking at being a total
energy solutions provider for not
just businesses through back up
diesel gensets but also to home and
small office segment users. The
company now has Eco, Hi-speed
and Intelli range of UPS systems.
Speaking to Electrical Monitor,
Narendra Goyal, who heads the
UPS business of Mahindra Powerol,
said that the products will be
initially available in the four
southern states, in addition to
Maharashtra and Bihar.
Subsequently, the market will be
expanded to cover the entire eastern
and western regions. "By 2012-13,
we intend to make the products
available pan-India," he noted.
Goyal further noted that the
products will be manufactured at
Mahindra Powerol's Parwanoo
plant in Himachal Pradesh although
its Tamil Nadu unit will also be
equipped to manufacture the same.
The new range of inverters
features intelligent charging
algorithms which make its
management convenient. These
UPS systems could be managed
better as it allows different charge
modes and also helps in
maintaining the battery in different
modes and enhances its life.
